The U.S. Supreme Court may reverse the notorious Roe v Wade decision which legalized abortion on demand in all 50 states. If Roe is reversed, this means that each state will regulate its own abortion laws. Here in Kentucky, there’s an effort to prevent judicial activist judges from making abortion a constitutional right. That’s why HB 91 was introduced. It simply says that there is no right to an abortion under the Kentucky Constitution. It also says that public funds cannot be used for any abortion in Kentucky. In effect, it closes the door to activist judges who want to impose their own opinions and make laws for all of us. That’s not the way it’s supposed to work. The abortion amendment will be heard in committee today.
