Do you believe that black lives matter? If you are an American and believe in the American creed that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights” then we should all believe that every black life matters. In fact, every human life matters regardless of skin color or ethnicity. However, if you don’t agree with the Black Lives Matter organization you could get in trouble. And some are losing their jobs for simply saying that “all lives matter.” This is an intolerance that should be condemned. Martin Luther King Jr. reminds us that people should be judged by “the content of their character, not the color of their skin.” Black lives indeed matter. However, in order to truly achieve justice and racial equality, coercion and intolerance must be resisted.
