Cancel culture is real. This is where conservative views are marginalized and those who hold those views are pushed to the fringes of society. This is contrary to the American ideal of the free exchange of ideas and civil discourse. The way to unravel a culture is to change its story and rewrite its history. And this is happening at a rapid pace in California. The San Francisco School Board concluded that Abraham Lincoln and George Washington have “dishonorable legacies” so their changing 44 schools named after these great presidents. Their new high school ethnic studies curriculum now celebrates Pol Pot who was a mass murderer, but it fails to mention Thurgood Marshall or Martin Luther King Jr. Acknowledging our mistakes is helpful but erasing our history leads us down a path of national dissolution.
