Remember the huge security breach at Equifax a couple of years ago where 145 million Americans had their private information stolen? Well, the culprits were finally caught. Four Chinese military members have been charged with breaking into the Equifax network. They stole names, addresses, Social Security numbers and other personal information. They also stole trade secrets. It was one of the largest security breaches in our history. This latest revelation corroborates what the Trump administration has been warning for years and that is that the Chinese are hacking into our computer systems, stealing trade secrets, and pirating our technology. This means that in the interest of national security and protecting our sovereignty, America must make clear to Chinese leaders that such illegal activity not acceptable and must be compensated.
