COVID-19 has taken its toll on our already frayed nerves. Throw in a bitter and divisive political season and you have the perfect recipe for a big helping of personal frustration and civil discord. So where do we turn? In times of crisis and turmoil where hope seems to have bottomed out, the only place to look is up. So it’s appropriate that during this Advent season we look to Jesus, the Savior of the world. That’s what Christmas is about anyway. It’s about a Savior who came to restore mankind’s relationship with God. As Isaac Watts said, “He comes to make His blessings flow far as the curse is found.” Whether the curse of coronavirus or the bitter politics, we celebrate One who came to make all things right again in the world.
