Today is the National Day of Prayer. This is where Christians from across the denominational spectrum gather on courthouse steps across the country to hear brief messages and to pray for our state and nation. But not today at least not in person. Despite the inability to gather, our nation still needs prayer. Gov. Beshear, Pres. Trump, local leaders, and frontline workers need our prayers more than ever. If the coronavirus pandemic has taught us anything it is that we are creatures subject to disease and death. We’re all faced with our physical and emotional frailty. And this is a good time to pray to the One who gave us life and sustains our lives amid pandemic. May He extend His healing hand upon each of us and our nation.
