After more than a year of masks and social distancing, citizens of Kentucky will soon be celebrating a return to normalcy. Last week the CDC announced that vaccinated individuals no longer have to wear masks in most public places. Many Kentuckians were unsure if Governor Beshear would follow the CDC guidance, but the Governor later announced that this guidance would immediately take effect in Kentucky. And a day later, Governor Beshear announced even better news. On Friday June 11th all COVID restrictions and the mask mandate for all Kentuckians will be lifted in the Commonwealth. This will give Kentuckians who want the vaccine enough time to get vaccinated. After a year of stringent restrictions from the Governor, this is welcome news for all.
