There's real fallout from unjustly blaming someone. This is the case with Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann who was accused of mocking a native American protestor in Washington D.C. An edited and misleading video pegged Sandman as an aggressor toward the Indian protestor. However another video surfaced and showed what happened in context. Sandmann actually tried to diffuse tension. But that didn't stop a hostile response to Sandmann and his family. Sandmann has received death threats and his parent's business is being targeted as well. The anger in our national conversations is just below the surface and it's beginning to boil over. Those who threatened Sandmann and his family need to take a breath and ask what they're really angry about. And when they cool down, they owe Sandmann and his family an apology.
