A government report out of India shows there are 63 million missing girls. No, they weren't kidnapped. They've been aborted simply because they were female. Males are more highly valued in India and it's leading to a gender imbalance that is becoming quite evident. This tragedy isn't unique to India. According to the United Nations Population Fund, 117 million women are "missing" in Asia and Eastern Europe. Again this is due to sex selection abortion. The pro-life community has long decried abortion as being wrong on a number of levels. Sex-selection abortion reveals another level of abortion's inhumanity and this has the potential to bring an unlikely ally into the pro-life camp: feminists. They're now seeing sex-selection abortion as the real war on women.
