Remember the opening lines of the original Star Trek where William Shatner says "Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. … to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before." That was 1966. Today, a company called Space X is making that a reality. It announced that next year it will begin sending private citizens into space in a one-week mission around the moon. That's fascinating and reflects a deep seated drive in mankind to explore, to learn and discover. The Psalmist says "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." May we always remember that in light of our accomplishments and discoveries, no matter how breathtaking they might be.
