It’s Labor Day today where many of you will have the day off of work and spend time with family and friends. It’s a time to escape from our work and rest, but have you ever thought that work is a gift? We often see work as a curse. That’s because after the fall, the ground was cursed and Adam was told he’d have to toil for his food. Yet even while we sometimes toil and struggle with work, we are made for work. In fact, God has hardwired us for work—to be creative, productive, and provide. If you’ve found work you enjoy, be thankful. If not, seek the Author of work, and may he lead you into your calling, to do the work you were created for. In the meantime, enjoy your Labor Day!
