The old saying goes that the “Devil is in the details.” This past week, though, eye-opening moments of clarity made an appearance in the details as well. In a secretly-recorded video released by the Center for Medical Progress, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, senior director of medical services for Planned Parenthood, explained to a group of people over lunch how the organization harvests the organs of unborn babies and then sells them to desiring bidders. Nucatola calmly munched on a salad as she described which organs are more in demand than others and how doctors often target those organs in babies who are to be aborted. We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part. I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact,” she explained. Even abortion supporters seemed stunned by Nucatola's remarks. While the discussion and the practice are equally repugnant, perhaps the effect will be turn public opinion against crimes perpetrated against the unborn both before and after their demise. The curtain has been thrown back. It's time to let the light shine in and put a stop to these inhumane practices once and for all.
