There’s been a push to allow children to determine their own gender but this idea is now getting pushback in Great Britain. A landmark ruling from the U.K. High Court requires doctors to seek a court order to initiate gender transition through puberty blockers to children under the age of 16. A woman by the name of Keira Bell sued medical providers for irreversible physical harm instead of being counseled to work through her gender dysphoria in her early teens. Bell was convinced to undergo irreversible changes to her body, including a double mastectomy and hormone alteration rather than working with therapists to accept her natural gender. This is good news for minor children who can’t fully comprehend such a life-altering decision.
