Have you heard the big news out of Eastern Kentucky? Brady Industries announced a  $1.3 billion aluminum mill in Ashland that's going to create 550 permanent jobs with an average salary of $38 an hour. It's fantastic news! Yet if you were a subscriber to the Louisville Courier-Journal, you may have missed it. That's because Kentucky's biggest newspaper failed to cover the story in its print version. It's no secret the paper is opposed to Republican policies and the Bevin administration in particular but should that justify its failure to cover one the biggest economic expansions in our history? The economic boost is gladly welcomed in Eastern Kentucky  but Kentuckians could also use a bump in balanced journalism and Big newspapers like the Courier-Journal need to work on that.
