A few Kentuckians are learning the hard way that you can’t do whatever you want without consequences. Twelve Kentuckians have been arrested for joining the mob in the US Capitol riot on January 6th. A Marshall County man was charged by the FBI for assaulting a police officer on Capitol grounds. So how did people who say they believe in law and order get to this point? Conservatives have long condemned the mob mentality, and we must do so now. We do not support revolution, but reformation. Conservatives utilize constitutional means to reform and restore the government to its proper role of securing our inalienable rights and promoting the common good. And regardless of political persuasion, using violence to achieve political goals is short-sighted and dangerous.
